It is with great regret that we have to inform our readers that this will be the last issue of Teaching The AvatarGeneration. We did not come to this decision lightly and have been working hard over the last couple of months to find a way to continue funding the production of the magazine.
While we have a terrific and supportive fan base, (you our readers), unfortunately there are not enough of you and our efforts to advertise and publicize the magazine, have not resulted in the subscriptions required and back issue sales to cover the basic monthly costs of putting the magazine out. We have really enjoyed creating and researching our magazine, and giving our readers new and interesting educational technology apps, tools and classroom ideas.
We have been in contact with Apple regarding refunds on subscriptions for readers. Apple have advised users to contact the iTunes Store Support for a prorated refund on subscriptions. i.e. a refund on the future missing issues covered by the subscription.
To contact Apple go to: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
– click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption.
November 2013 will be the last issue, there will be no December Issue. From December 31st, you will no longer be able to download any back Issues or re-download the app. If you’d like to download any of our back issues you may do so until Dec 31st. The app can stay on your iPad/iPhone for as long as you want, but if you delete it, you will not be able to re-download it.
Although the magazine part of AvatarGeneration has come to an end, we are still committed to producing the great content you have seen throughout the year. We have released a free iPhone/iPad app ‘Teaching and Learning with Technology’, which displays our AvatarGeneration Blog articles. You can download it here:
We hope you will continue to be readers and thank you for all your support and understanding throughout the year.
