PowToon is a web-based animated slide-show and video platform that features a simple but powerful drag-and-drop interface. PowToon has decided to celebrate their 500,000 milestone with a donation of 500,000 free PowToon4EDU subscriptions to schools and educators across the country.
According to PowToon’s CEO, Ilya Spitalnik, “We have about 90 seconds to convey a point in business. In a classroom full of energetic kids, it’s far less.” PowToon’s innovative solution uses a mode of communication that kids associate with fun and enjoyment.
CEO and “Chief Unicorn” Ilya Spitalnik summed up the reason for the donation: “We believe in education, and since the latest and greatest tools and technology are not always available to those who could most benefit from it, this is an opportunity for PowToon to give back.”
PowToon execs, who describe the company as the latest and most intuitive cloud-based animated presentation tool available on the web, are banking on the fact that educators and professionals see the difference a “Toon” can make in the classroom and that they become advocates for the simple-to-use and flexible software.
The campaign, dubbed “Toon Up!” is designed so that educational organizations benefit by creating engaging content, and PowToon benefits by creating brand awareness.
Participating educational organizations will receive a custom branded PowToon e-book, which PowToon encourages them to make available as a free book to all of their members/educators. A custom link for download will be made available as well.
