The Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations has produced a whole heap of new videos that feature Australian schools that are involved in the Smarter Schools Partnership. This partnership is aimed at addressing disadvantage, supporting teachers and school leaders and improving literacy and numeracy.
This video showcases Montrose Bay High, and their Big Picture Campus, who are using flexible learning techniques to improve literacy and attendance. Each of the students have an individual, highly personalised learning plan, based on their interests and passions. The video interviews students participating in the program, and asks teachers to give their opinion on how this technique is working at their school.
