StudyDog Reading Program Offers Holiday Discount

The holidays have parents and grandparents scrambling for educational gifts that will provide children with hours of entertainment. StudyDog, an interactive reading program geared toward elementary students, is the perfect gift for children who are learning to read. StudyDog is available at a special discounted holiday price during the month of December.

StudyDog is currently offering a $10 discount on a one-year subscription to the service for those who visit and input the promo code SDL1L65. The offer will be good through Dec. 31. StudyDog has also created a free board game called “THE GREAT Holiday Hunt” that can be downloaded at

“Educational gifts that encourage children to learn while having fun are the best kinds of gifts they can receive. They are also a great way to keep kids’ minds active and help prevent a learning gap during the holiday break,” said Deme Clainos, a spokesman for StudyDog. “With StudyDog, the kids enjoy using the program so much that they don’t realize they’re learning; they’re just having fun. The StudyDog program automatically adjusts to each child’s individual reading needs while encouraging them to continue learning. ”

The online reading program addresses critical reading skills including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. The lessons are geared toward children in kindergarten through second grade, but can also be used by struggling readers at higher grade levels.

Parents may follow their child’s progress with real-time reporting. They may choose to receive a quick update or get a more detailed report on their child’s progress. Parents either log in to the Parent Center on the StudyDog website or choose to receive progress reports via email.
“StudyDog offers fun and engaging lessons that help children learn to read, even if they have struggled in the past,” Clainos said.

StudyDog is used on a computer or through a variety of mobile devices including Apple’s iPad and the new iPad mini, Android devices, Kindle Fire, Barnes and Noble’s Nook Color and the BlackBerry PlayBook.
