This video shows an experiment by Jelmer de Maat at Creative Learning Lab / Waag Society, conducted at the Poseidon School in Amsterdam. The Super Hero Island is a concept that uses embodied learning (learning by physical movement) to improve efforts in literacy and numeracy education. On the island, children can choose from different levels to learn different subjects and different interactions to exercise.
Most of the text in this video is in Dutch, but we thought it was great to see how engaged the students were with using this technology. For more information take a look at the WAAG Society website.
