TedEd is an amazing resource for educators who are looking for carefully curated educational videos. The site has lots of educational videos in a huge range of different subjects. We loved this really simple, funny and effective video explaining Archimedes’ principle by Mark Salata:
“Stories of discovery and invention often begin with a problem that needs solving. Summoned by the king to investigate a suspicious goldsmith, the early Greek mathematician Archimedes stumbles on the principle that would make him famous.”
Use the resources featured on the TedEd page in the classroom such as ‘Quiz’, ‘Think’ and ‘Dig Deeper’ to expand students thinking of the subject.
