We have featured some videos from TechSmith before as they show some excellent case studies of teachers using technology in the classroom. This video shows Brian Bennett who teaches Freshman Biology and Chemistry in Harrison High School in Indiana. In his teaching career, Brian quickly saw students disengage from learning when he was at the front of the room lecturing. So he flipped his teaching and gave students the choice on what to learn, how to learn, where to learn and when to learn.
This approach has allowed his students to take more ownership of their learning, become more resourceful learners and has given them more individuality. Take a look at the video and see how Brian used the flipped classroom model for the better.
