New languages for Little Space Heroes virtual world

Little Space Heroes gets even more global, now supporting eight languages including Spanish, German and Indonesian.

Independent Children’s Entertainment developer Bubble Gum Interactive has announced that its acclaimed virtual universe Little Space Heroes now offers in-game menu chat in eight languages.

In this free-to-play online game, kids create their own hero, strap on their jetpacks, fire up their starjets and blast off on an intergalactic adventure. Featuring character personalisation, solo and team gameplay, pets, quests, player homes and community activities, Little Space Heroes offers a safe, fun and ever-evolving gaming experience.

Little Space Heroes now provides its public website experience and in-game menu chat communication in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Italian and Indonesian as well as in English. The in-game menu chat automatically translates questions, answers and phrases between languages, facilitating instant, clear and safe communication. For example, a player in Brazil can use the expression “Saudações, Heróis!” which will appear to players in the United States as “Greetings heroes!” and players in Indonesia as “Halo Pahlawan!”

“Every day tens of thousands of kids from over 50 countries log in and blast off for intergalactic adventures in Little Space Heroes. With our expanded multi-lingual menu chat, kids can now communicate more easily. This makes our rapidly growing community even more inclusive, vibrant and diverse.” said Paul Gray, Community Director.
Little Space Heroes’ innovative chat systems utilise menu chat for simple, effective and now multi-lingual chat across languages. Its English Safe Chat uses best-in-class filtering to ensure a safe experience. In addition, the game is moderated by a dedicated, in-house team. Little Space Heroes has secured more independent safety and content-suitability endorsements than most virtual worlds including COPPA compliant kidSAFE+ Certification, the Family Friendly Seal of Approval, a Parents’ Choice Approved Seal as well as ESRB E for Everyone and PEGI-OK Ratings.

“We recognise the true global demand for compelling, fun, adventure filled virtual worlds for kids. We’re committed to delivering the best gaming experience for all our players, regardless of where they live or what language they speak.” said CEO Phillip Mason.
This project was partly funded by Commercialisation Australia. Bubble Gum Interactive looks forward to launching additional languages for Middle-Eastern and Asian markets later in 2012.
